Let's Get Started on the Tour...

Get out and about in the Gulf Coast. Hop aboard and take a short ride to Beauvoir, The Jefferson Davis Home, Presidential Library and Museum.

History buffs will delight in our visit to the historic post-war home and Presidential Library where Confederate President Jefferson Davis lived his last 12 years.

This grand site, which spans Davis's Presidential Library and a Confederate soldier cemetery, took a hit during Katrina, but vigorous restoration efforts have returned it to its former glory days.

Built in 1852, Beauvoir, french for beautiful view, was the last home of Jefferson Davis.

President of the Confederate States of America during the American Civil War, Davis settled here upon retiring from politics and the military.  He had been searching for a quiet place to write his books and papers.

You'll take a guided tour of Davis' home and spend some time visiting the small museum and gift shop.

You're off to enjoy a fabulous lunch at Mediterraneo. With its unique atmosphere, Mediterraneo focuses on the freshest cuisine from countries all around the Mediterranean, as well as local Gulf Cost specialties. They're opening their doors exclusively for you on Thursday, so enjoy!

After Lunch...

It's a very short trip before you arrive at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art.

Opened in 1991, the museum is dedicated to the celebration of the works of Walter Inglis Anderson (1903-1965), an American Master.

Spending most of his life in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, his pursuit of the "realization" of the flora and fauna of the Gulf Coast became his lifelong passion. Anderson's depictions of the plants, animals and people of the Gulf Coast area have placed him in the forefront of American Painters of the Twentieth Century.

The museum is also home to the works of Anderson's brothers; Peter, Master Potter, and James, painter and ceramicist.
