If your plans during Fall Convention call for a means of transportation, Oklahoma City has these resources for travelers looking for a ride.
Uber & Lyft
Uber and Lyft are both available in Oklahoma City. Simply download the Uber or Lyft apps on your smartphone and use it to request a car to take you to your destination. Both services are similar and utilize local resident drivers. All cars are clean and drivers are friendly. The app makes it easy to pay for rides without the exchange of money directly with the driver.
The TNC (Uber, Lyft) pickup area is on the upper level “Departures” roadway at the west end. The area is marked as “TNC Pick Up”.
Local Taxi Drivers
Taxis are located in the Transportation Plaza which is accessed from the baggage claim (lower) level. Prices vary among companies and minimum fares may be charged. Rates are posted on the exterior of the vehicles. There is no obligation to take the first taxi or shuttle in line.
Exact fares depend on final destination. If you choose to use this service, make sure you only pay one price for your ride and not a per person rate.
On-Airport Car Rentals
The car rental center is located at 5201 S. Meridian Avenue, just a short distance north of the terminal. The bus to and from the facility takes 3-4 minutes.
The rental car shuttle bus runs 24 hours a day, so a car may be returned at any time. Return the car to the appropriate area for the company from which you rented. Leave the keys in the car or put them in the company’s drop box. Then proceed to the customer service building to catch the bus to the terminal building.
