Below is a brief schedule of events for guests. While we have highlighted events that we believe will interest those who register as a Spouse/Guest, you are welcome to attend any of our sessions or meetings, as long as space permits.
Tuesday, October 22
Registration desk – The registration desk opens at 7:00 am each day. In addition to picking up name badges, the registration desk is a great spot to meet other attendees, visit staff, and get answers to any questions you may have.
Welcome Reception – The Welcome Reception is from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, and is a great place to meet fellow attendees, catch up on old times and meet new colleagues. There is no formal program for this event, so feel free to stop in as your plans permit. Many guests will still be arriving, therefore travel casual attire is fine.
Wednesday, October 23
Joint Industry Breakfast and Opening Session – This session is from 8:00 to 9:30 am and is designed to kick off the convention. This is our largest event and fills quickly, plan on arriving early for the best seating.
Spouse/Guest Tour – Guests have the option to sign up for a tour on Wednesday (more information to come) followed by lunch and free time for shopping. See below for more information. (Additional fee)
EMDA’s Partners Party – This event is by invitation only from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.
Thursday, October 24
Joint Industry Breakfast Buffet – There will be no speaker at this session, so enjoy a leisurely morning at this breakfast buffet from 7:00 to 9:00 am.
EMDA’s Industry Showcase – Take a stroll through this event where attendees learn about products and services from manufacturers and suppliers. The showcase will take place from 12:30 to 3:30 pm
Joint Reception – A celebration of a great meeting completed. A perfect time to have a last minute visit with attendees of both our Association and EMDA. The reception will be from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
Wednesday Guest Tour
Registration fee: $150
Grapevine Texas is a quintessential Western town with friendly people and warm smiles to create lasting memories. Grapevine’s historic district is brimming with charming boutiques and antique shops, as well as fine wineries serving the best wine Texas can offer.
During the tour, a professional Tour Director will describe the history of Grapevine and specifics of the local wineries, as well as the booming Texas winemaking business.
This optional tour will visit two wineries for generous tastings, one of which will include a three-course meal. The third stop will be at a beer brewery, which offers a variety of original recipe beer products including an indoor tap room for a unique tasting of craft beer flavors. Round trip transportation is included.
