DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From the North
Take I-35 South to Kansas City, Missouri, to the Southwest Trafficway Exit. (Or, if you are coming from I-29, follow I-29 south to I-35 South, then continue with these directions) Southwest Trafficway will be a left hand exit. Follow Southwest Trafficway south for about 8-10 minutes, and you will begin to approach the Country Club Plaza area. At the light (just past 45th Street) go left onto 47th Street. Go to the second light and turn right on Broadway (onto the bridge). Go across Brush Creek and straight through the traffic light. On your right will be a statue of a lady and three cherubs (hotel property.) Half way up the hill, turn right into hotel entrance (Lobby Level.)
From I-70
Follow I-70 to downtown Kansas City and get on I-35 South. Once on I-35 South, follow directions from the North (above.)
From the South on I-35
Follow I-35 North towards Kansas City. Take the Shawnee Mission Parkway Exit, Highway 56, heading East. Follow Shawnee Mission Parkway east for about 10-15 minutes. Once you have passed through the intersections of Rainbow Boulevard and State Line Road, you will begin to enter the Country Club Plaza area. You will come to the intersection where Shawnee Mission Parkway intersects with Ward Parkway. This is a tricky intersection, so make sure to stay in the lanes heading straight. Shawnee Mission Parkway becomes Ward Parkway. Once you have passed through this large intersection, get in the right lane. The next intersection is Wornall Road, turn right. Halfway up the hill, turn right into the driveway of the InterContinental Kansas City.
From Highway 71 North
Follow Highway 71 (north bound) and exit at Swope Parkway. Turn right on Swope Parkway, which becomes Volker Boulevard, which becomes Ward Parkway. At intersection with Wornall Road (where bridge goes over Brush Creek) turn left (away from the bridge.) A statue of a lady with three cherubs will be on your right (immediately after your turn). This is hotel property. Continue halfway up the hill and turn right into hotel entrance.
From Highway 71 South
Follow 71 (southbound) and exit at Swope Parkway. Turn left on Swope Parkway, which becomes Volker, which becomes Ward Parkway. Turn left at Wornall Road (where the bridge crosses the creek) but turn away from the bridge. A statue of a lady with three cherubs will be immediately on your right (hotel property.) Continue halfway up the hill and turn right into hotel entrance (Lobby Level.)
