FEMA Supports Ag Connect Expo
FEMA and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers have jointly announced last Friday, that FEMA is endorsing the 2010 Ag Connect Expo. This truly international show will first be held January 13-15, 2010 in the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. FEMA is now a voting member of the show’s management committee representing show issues that are important to the specialized farm equipment manufacturer.
Ricky Brown, FEMA’s president, said that the organization “…is proud to be a key sponsor of the inaugural Ag Connect Expo. This exhibition, which promises to be an international event unlike any previously seen in the United States, will bring the world’s farmers, ranchers and equipment component suppliers together in one venue for the first time ever in this country.”
An exclusive preview day will be open at the start of the show where an expected 1,500 dealers and 4,000 invited customers will attend. Twenty thousand total visitors are expected to attend the first year’s show in 2010. Of that 20,000, around 18,000 would be producers.
To limit show attendance to seriously interested customers and other parties, a $20 registration fee will be charged to show visitors. With that registration fee, all guests will be registered and furnished with name badges. Following the show, all exhibitors will then be furnished with the names and addresses of all guests that registered.
The show is now reaching out in the international market. The international agricultural machinery summit, “Agrievolution,” will collocate with Ag Connect Expo.
Designed to be the first TRULY INTERNATIONAL FARM EQUIPMENT EXHIBIT in the U.S., after the first two initial shows in 2010 and 2011, Ag Connect Expo will be scheduled every two years. Orlando was selected because it is an international destination. And, as Ag Connect Expo’s tag line says, it will be, “Where the World of Agriculture Comes Together.”
Not only will farm and ranch families and equipment dealers and wholesalers gather together at this “destination” site, the show promises to bring the latest educational resources together. Equipment component suppliers, seed companies, herbicide and insecticide specialists and experts in the latest agriculture technologies will all be in Orlando. And speaking of Orlando (not usually listed as one of the “Top 10” Agricultural Capitols of the World), exhibitors should not forget that farmers and ranchers have families. And, wouldn’t families like a winter reprieve in sunny Orlando?
Enclosed with this Shortliner is an Exhibit Space Application & Contract. FEMA members should note, there is a 15% discount from non-member rates to exhibit at the show. The smallest booth size is 10’x10′. Larger booths will depend upon the manufacturer’s need.
We know, these exhibitor rates are not the most inexpensive in the land. Compared to European shows, however, they represent a bargain. And, rates to exhibit at Ag Connect Expo should not be compared to other regional U.S. shows. This promises to be a completely different experience.
