Members Only: Show Your Video Promo During AG CONNECT

The FEMA Pavilion at Ag Connect Expo in Orlando, Jan. 13-15, 2010 with a special invitation-only preview day on Jan. 12, will feature an equipment video promotion for our members. The FEMA Pavilion, “Innovation Squared,” will be an additional resource available to our members exclusively, both for those members exhibiting in the Pavilion, and for those who will not be at the show.

Innovation Squared will include two large video monitors for videos where members will have the opportunity to show off even more product lines than space allows at the show. For members who will not be exhibiting, it will also be an opportunity to show your product line to a worldwide audience.

Video product demonstrations have become “de
rigueur” at farm equipment shows across the land. These are particularly important for indoor shows such as the Ag Connect Expo, when onsite field demonstrations are not possible.

Members, whether exhibiting in Innovation Squared or not, can send us your videos and/or photos of your products, and we will include them on the 42” video screens, located in the middle lounge area of the Pavilion. Your two-minute clip will be included as part of a continuous loop (about every 30-minutes) all day, each day of the entire show, including the preview day.

If you’re already using videos in your exhibits, you know the value that this sales aid can bring. If you don’t currently use such videos, you can simply judge others by the crowds surrounding the monitors in other manufacturer’s booths.

This is an outstanding way to enhance the “iron” displayed in your booth. And if you cannot exhibit, it provides you with a low-cost method to be part of the show. Innovation Squared exhibiting members can have a two-minute clip inserted in the video loop for only $200. A second two-minute clip may be added for an additional $150. A maximum of two clips (four minutes per member) will be allowed.

If you are not exhibiting in Innovation Squared, but would still like your equipment to be shown, members may display a two-minute clip for $500, with a second two-minute clip for an additional $400. Again, a maximum of four minutes would be allowed.

Now here is the technical talk if you want to be a part of this video display: The format required for sending videos: avi, mpeg, mov. For still images they must be 720×480 pixels or larger and in jpeg format.

Guidelines. While you may send any of the above format, it must be submitted via: DataDVD, Flash Drive, Portable Hard-drive or Files downloadable from your FTP site. (Video provided on finished video-DVD will add production cost.)

If you have questions regarding these video displays or need more information on either exhibiting in the Innovation Squared Pavilion, please email Vernon Schmidt at Vernon@FarmEquip.org.

(It’s obvious that someone, other than the Shortliner editor wrote the “format” and “guidelines” section in the two preceding paragraphs. This editor does hope that you understand them better than he.)

One thing this editor does understand — this is an outstanding resource for you to display your equipment to an international audience as well as important dealers in a very inexpensive and value-added way. No — video clips can never replace the value of actually exhibiting and personally networking with both dealers and an international audience. But, it can give your company valuable exposure in what promises to be one of the most exciting farm equipment shows in the U.S.

If you want to be a part of the exhibit in Innovation Squared, contact the AEM sales office at (414) 298-4160 or (800) 867-6060 or email sales@agconnect.com. Information is also available online at FarmEquip.org.
