Ag Connect Expo Offers FEMA Pavilion

An exciting new concept for the all-new AG CONNECT Expo—The FEMA Pavilion—is being planned for this international show, Jan. 12-15, 2010 in Orlando, FL. You’ll want to be part of this international farm equipment show along with other FEMA members.

This special display area, “Innovation 2010,” will feature the innovative and specialized farm equipment that FEMA members have been producing for years. And, as you can see from the included exhibit registration form, this FEMA Pavilion is being offered at rates designed exclusively for the small, specialized equipment manufacturer.

AG CONNECT Expo is geared for two specific markets — both of which have often been neglected by FEMA members:

  • The large agricultural producer. This is the one market that continues to grow in both the U.S. and internationally. According to preliminary figures of the 2007 Census of Agriculture, the number of farms in the U.S., alone, with annual sales over $500,000 increased by 46,000 since 2002, the last reported ag census.

  • The international market for large producers. Exports continue to be the one “bright spot” in the U.S. economy. According to AEM, ag exports increased 26% in 2008 over the previous year, to $10.4 billion. All too often FEMA members’ exports are of the “accidental” variety, rather than being part of a well-organized marketing plan. AG CONNECT Expo offers you the chance to begin selling in the worldwide marketplace as part of a coordinated, planned effort.

AEM is now actively promoting AG CONNECT Expo on the international stage. These promotions are occurring on several fronts, namely through AEM’s own communications leveraging their international relationships, through the Department of Commerce, with AG CONNECT Expo being one of the limited shows listed in their international buying program, and now through the relationship with DLG, owner of Agritechnica, leveraging their relationships across Europe.

Through these international relationships, it is apparent that many foreign distributors, including some already representing FEMA members around the globe, are just now beginning to learn about the benefits of attendance at AG CONNECT Expo to the international community.

FEMA is planning to make this Pavilion a unique and show-stopping part of this first-of-its-type U.S. international farm show. This special section of this indoor exhibit will highlight the varied and unique equipment manufactured by FEMA’s members focusing on the innovative nature of shortline farm equipment and the economy of production it brings to the world’s farming stage.

FEMA, along with a host of other endorsing organizations, including NAEDA, the FFA, FEWA-
AIMRA and the DLG (Agritechnica), have been part of the planning of this event for over a year. Not only will this AG CONNECT Expo be a show piece for major SP equipment, it will also show the world what specialized manufacturers can offer.

A minimum of 1,500 dealers can be expected to take part in the special Preview Day. The deadline to participate in the FEMA Pavilion is fast approaching. Those wishing to be a part of it, JUNE 30 is the registration deadline. The completed form, along with a 25% deposit for your exhibit, should be sent to AG CONNECT Expo 2010, Box 681117, Milwaukee, WI 53268-1117.

For years we’ve been hearing, “Why can’t the U.S. have its own Agritechnica? Where is this country’s Bologna? Doesn’t the U.S. market deserve a SIMA?” This is your chance to be part of it. Don’t delay, complete and remit your company’s application now.
