Mahindra Opening Plant In TN

Farm Equipment maker Mahindra USA, announced that they will open a new assembly and distribution plant in Chattanooga, TN, effective December 31, 2009.

The company also announced their plans to move their North American headquarters from Tomball, TX to co-locate with its Houston, TX assembly plant. The new assembly and distribution point in Tennessee will take the place of Mahindra USA’s Calhoun, GA facility and will move assembly and distribution of Mahindra Tractors approximately one hour north.

Houston, TX-based Mahindra USA Farm Equipment Sector is a wholly owned subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra LTD, and part of Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector. Mahindra USA’s Farm Equipment Sector began selling tractors in the U.S. in 1994.
