AEM November Ag Flash Reports

The Association of Equipment Manufact-urers’ (AEM) monthly Ag Flash Reports compares data from the current and past year of the Canadian and U.S. unit retail sales of two- and four-wheel drive tractors and self-propelled combines. Highlights of the report are listed below.

Unit retail sales for Canada:

Under 40 HP: 758 (-1.3% from 2008)

40 & Under 100 HP: 603 (-20.9%)

100 HP & Over: 283 (-11.3%)

Two-Wheel Drive: 1,644 (-11.1%)

Four-Wheel Drive: 73 (-20.7%)

Total Tractors: 1,717 (-11.5%)

Combines (Self-Propelled): 143 (+37.5%)

Unit retail sales for the U.S.:

Under 40 HP: 3,669 (-5.4% from 2008)

40 & Under 100 HP: 2,398 (-22.2%)

100 HP & Over: 1,139 (-6.3%)

Two-Wheel Drive: 7,206 (-11.8%)

Four-Wheel Drive: 243 (-2.8%)

Total Tractors: 7,449 (-11.6%)

Combines (Self-Propelled): 386 (-5.9%)
