ASABE Adopts International Standard On Tractor Drawbars

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has adopted with deviations ISO 6489-3:2004, Agricultural vehicles — Mechanical connections between towed and towing vehicles — Part 3: Tractor drawbar.

The ASABE document, ANSI/ASABE AD6489-3:2004 (JUN2009), Agricultural vehicles — Mechanical connections between towed and towing vehicles — Part 3: Tractor drawbar, replaces ASABE standard, ASAE S482, Drawbars — Agricultural Wheel Tractors, which was used as the basis for ISO 6489-3. This adoption includes some modifications to the ISO document and further harmonizes national and international standardization.
