Regular Members To Receive Email Request For 2010 ASABE Standards Info

Along with many of our members, the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association continues to support the efforts of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) Standards Program. In an effort to keep our members updated on changes to these important standards, we have over the past few years provided free of charge copies of either the ASABE Standards book or CD-ROM to prime contact Regular Members. The 2010 book is a $383 value at the non-
ASABE member price.

Once again this year our Board of Directors has decided to make this standards information available to Regular Members who need it, in the format they desire. ASABE reported that since the 2008 book was published, at least 12 new standards and 13 revised standards have been approved for inclusion in the 2010 book. Additionally, 12 previously published standards have been withdrawn in this time period. Many of these documents directly affect FEMA Member products, so be sure to take advantage of this great membership benefit. Again, all prime contact Regular Members who sign up to receive a copy of the 2010 ASABE will receive it for free, just by being a member of this Association.

This Association has also been asked by ASABE to include some questions regarding the delivery format for standards in future years. Whether or not you would like a copy of the 2010 Standards, your responses to the format questions would be greatly appreciated. We will be sending out an email to all prime contact Regular Members next week regarding their preference for this publication.
