Number Of PA Manufacturing Jobs Increase

In the last 12 months Pennsylvania added 3,776 industrial jobs, or 0.5%, according to the latest survey by Pennsylvania Manufacturers Register.

There are 17,363 manufacturing companies in the commonwealth with 807,726 workers, according the survey.

The bulk of the jobs are in the industrial machinery and equipment segment, which grew 1% to 93,473 manufacturing jobs, followed by food products manufacturing up 2% to 86,691 jobs and fabricated metals which remained flat at 84,393 jobs.
