Connecting With International Buyers At AG CONNECT Expo & Summit 2013
Exhibitors inside the Innovation Pavilion, sponsored by the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association at AG CONNECT Expo & Summit 2013, seeking to start an export program or increase their international sales will benefit from the show’s selection for International Buyer Program (IBP) status by the U.S. Commercial Service.
Through the IBP, the U.S. Commercial Service will recruit qualified international attendees to the show and facilitate lead generation and customer contacts for U.S. exhibitors in order to boost their presence in the global marketplace.
Only a small number of trade shows in the U.S. are selected each year for IBP status; AG CONNECT Expo & Summit has been named to the IBP each time the show has been held.
The program promotes IBP-status trade shows to a worldwide audience through its overseas Commercial Service Posts and selected embassies and consulates. Key activities under the IBP are U.S. Commercial Service recruitment of official trade delegations to attend the shows and a “matchmaking” service to facilitate buyer-seller interaction and onsite export counseling.
AG CONNECT Expo & Summit is scheduled for January 29-31, 2013, at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, MO. It offers a preview of what’s to come in agriculture in the next several years through new technologies, advanced practices and operating efficiencies that improve quality and yield. The event draws a national and international audience of industry professionals with its combination of first-class exhibits, conference-caliber education and high-level networking opportunities.
AG CONNECT Expo & Summit 2013 will also provide assistance with travel and housing arrangements for international delegations and will offer show planning and registration material in selected world languages.
