Nick Jensen Elected To FEMA Board of Directors

Nick Jensen, President of Product Development & Distribution and third generation co-owner at Thurston Manufacturing, was elected to a three year term on the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association Board of Directors during the recent Fall Convention in Indianapolis. Jensen also serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at Simonsen Iron Works and is President of AgriRep, LLC.

After going to Texas to attend Southern Methodist University, Jensen worked as the marketing manager for a sign company in Dallas. He returned to family-owned Thurston Manufacturing Company (TMC) as a territory manager in 2003. In 2008, Nick became the Chief Marketing Officer and has since worked to increase the reach of the Thurston Manufacturing brands (Blu-Jet, Circle R Side Dump and Simonsen Iron Works), gaining experience in agricultural practices on five different continents.

Jensen is also the Chairman of the FEMA Education Committee and is a member of the FEMA FarmEquip.org committee. Outside of TMC, Nick has served on the Pender-Thurston Education and Community Foundation Fund Board.

“It is a great honor to have been selected to serve on the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association’s Board of Directors. My twenty-five years’ worth of experiences with FEMA (starting when my father Layton served on the Board of Directors) has resulted in the privilege to have learned from some of the top agricultural equipment executives in the industry. The educational and networking opportunities offered to me and Thurston Manufacturing through FEMA and its nearly 700 member companies have been priceless.”

Jensen also expressed his eagerness to give back to the organization in this new leadership position.
