AGI Acquires REM GrainVac Product Line

Ag Growth International, Inc. (AGI) announced in early February it has entered into an agreement to acquire the GrainVac product line from REM Enterprises, Inc.

The sale is one of series of changes REM recently made to its corporate structure, including new brands and a new name. The company will become S3 Enterprises Inc., with subsidiaries of S3 Wireform, S3 Delta Harrows, S3 Blowers, and S3 Manufacturing.

Winnipeg, Manitoba-based AGI also purchased a 114,000-square-foot facility in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, where it will manufacture the grain vacuums, along with the Batco belt conveyor product line. Sales and manufacturing will transition to AGI immediately, along with 25 employees, with no planned interruption in business.

REM sells GrainVacs to growers across North America and internationally through a distribution network similar to the one AGI uses for its portable grain handling products. AGI also produces stationary grain handling, storage and conditioning equipment, augers, belt conveyors, grain storage bins, grain handling accessories, grain aeration equipment and grain drying systems.

AGI has 11 manufacturing facilities in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Finland, and distributes its products globally.
