Association Offers Members ASABE Standards CDFree!
The Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association continues to support the efforts of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) Standards Program.
In an effort to help keep our members up-to-date on changes to these important standards, over the past decade we have provided copies of the standards to our regular members, free of charge. (The 2014 CD-Rom is a $499 value at the non-ASABE member price.) Once again this year our Board of Directors has decided to offer this standards information to regular members who do not already have access via ASABE membership. We can send one copy per company while supplies last.
The 2014 CD contains 255 current ASAE/ASABE standards, engineering practices, and data applicable to agricultural equipment and systems, irrigation and drainage, structures, turf and landscape equipment, food engineering, and electric power applications. It also contains a keyword and numerical standards index, a list of active standards development projects, and an index of related ISO (International) Standards Committees.

Conformance to ASABE standards is voluntary, except where required by state, provincial, or other governmental requirements, and the documents are developed by consensus in accordance with procedures approved by the American National Standards Institute. While we do not support or oppose any standard, we do encourage member involvement.
