ASABE Seeks Input for Box Manure Spreader Standard

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) is revising a standard on manure spreaders, ASAE S324.1, Volumetric Capacity of Box Type Manure Spreaders – Dual Rating Method, and seeks comment on the proposed draft. The proposed revision will apply to vertical beater-type machines and add a box-width relation to heaped capacity for improved accuracy.

Conformance to ASABE standards is voluntary, except where required by state, provincial, or other governmental requirements, and the documents are developed by consensus in accordance with procedures approved by the American National Standards Institute.
