Art’s Way Manufacturing Co., Inc. announced its financial results for the three and nine months ended Aug. 31, 2014.

Third quarter sales for the company’s manufacturing division were $9.3 million, compared to $8 million the same period of 2013, an increase of 17.0%. Nine-month sales for 2014 in the division were $21.4 million, compared to $22.7 million for the same period in 2013.

The company attributed the decrease in revenue year to date to a decreased demand for the Universal Harvester reels and reduced sugar beet harvester sales. The decline was offset somewhat by sales from the acquisition of Canadian Agro Trend and increased demand for grinder mixers. Gross margin for the quarter was 25.0%, compared to 19.4% for the same period in 2013.
