AGCO President Named to Africa Business Advisory Council

The U.S. Department of Commerce named AGCO Corp. Chairman President and CEO Martin Richenhagen to the President’s Advisory Council on Doing Business in Africa, reported MarketWatch.com.

The AGCO executive is one of 15 named to the council, which will advise President Obama, through the Secretary of Commerce, on strengthening commercial engagement between the United States and Africa, with a focus on advancing the President’s Doing Business in Africa Campaign.

Among the campaign’s goals are creating jobs in the U.S. and Africa through trade and investment, building lasting commercial partnerships between the U.S. and African private sectors, facilitating U.S. business participation in Africa’s infrastructure development, and helping Africa’s entrepreneurs develop trade and investment ties with U.S. partners.
