Caterpillar Dealers Fabick and Fabco Plan Merger
Caterpillar dealers Fabco Equipment, Milwaukee, WI, and John Fabick Tractor Co., Fenton, MO, plan to merge their companies to create one of the largest Caterpillar dealers in the United States, reported rermag.com. Doug Fabick, president and CEO of Fabick Cat, will lead the expanded organization as CEO and dealer principal; his cousin Jeré Fabick, currently president and CEO of Fabco, will serve as president and co-dealer principal.
The companies expect to close the deal June 30.
The combined company’s corporate headquarters will be in St. Louis. The enterprise will operate in a six-state region, including major portions of Missouri and Illinois, one county each in Kansas and Oklahoma, Michigan’s upper peninsula, and the entire state of Wisconsin. The combined dealership will include 37 locations, 100 parts drops, and 550 service technicians, totaling more than 1,100 employees.
John Fabick Sr. founded Fabick Caterpillar in 1917. Both companies offer equipment rental, as well as sales, service and parts for Caterpillar construction machinery, trucks, engines and electric power generation equipment.
