Nebraska Governor Plans Trip to Europe

Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts (R) plans to visit Europe in June with the state’s leaders in agriculture and economic development, Brownfield Ag News recently reported.

Their itinerary includes stops at a food show in Milan, Italy, and a biotechnology firm in Denmark.

“We have the opportunity with the Milan trade show to highlight Nebraska agricultural products, build upon this ‘agribusiness hub’ (study) that the Omaha Chamber released, and work with companies like (biotech firm) Novozymes to try to get them to expand here in Nebraska,” Ricketts told the Brownfield Ag News.

State leaders also will visit Belgium as part of the trip. S
