Quarterly Results from Alamo

Alamo Group Inc. released numbers from its quarter ending June 30.

Net sales for the quarter hit a record $215.7 million compared to net sales of $207.8 million in 2014, which reflects a 4% increase. Net income for the quarter was $9.7 million.

The company's agriculture division reported net sales of $53 million, a 1% decrease compared to the $53.6 million in net sales for the same quarter last year.

"While sales were down 1%, this significantly outperformed the overall agricultural market in general, in which most companies are experiencing double-digit declines," said President and CEO Ron Robinson. "In this sector, the division continues to benefit from the broad applicability of its products across all types of farms and ranches."
