Sentry Announces 10% Annual Dividend Payment

Members of the Association who hold product liability policies with Sentry Insurance will again receive a dividend check.

The company has announced a 10% dividend share for product liability policies expiring in 2015.

Dividends are tiered. First-year policy holders will receive 3.6%. Second-year policy holders will receive 7.1%. Policy holders who have been with Sentry for three years or more will receive 10.7%.

The dividends are possible because members who hold Sentry product liability policies have had another successful year.

“We work hard with members to assure that the farm equipment that leaves their plants is built to be safe,” said Sentry’s Bob Bonifas, Sales Executive-FEMA National Accounts. “We know the shortline industry, and we have great respect for the people who engineer and manufacture this equipment. We bring our expertise in product liability to be sure they can continue to do what they do so well.”

Since 1975, Sentry, through its partnership with the Association, has provided product liability coverage to farm equipment manufacturers and wholesale distributors. Members also qualify for consideration in Sentry’s package policy program, which includes property, inland marine, crime, premises liability, auto, umbrella, Employment Practices Liability (EPLI) and workers compensation coverages.

Vernon Schmidt, the Association’s Executive Vice President, said that when a member and policy holder faces a claim, Sentry excels in its response.

While annual dividends payments to policy holders are not guaranteed, over the past seven years, dividend distributions have totaled more than $3,000,000.
