Anderson Retires from Ag Growth International

Ag Growth International Inc. has announced the retirement of CEO Gary Anderson and the appointment of his successor, company President Tim Close.

Anderson will remain in his current role until January 1 and continue as an advisor until March 31. He also will remain on the company's Board of Directors.

Anderson co-founded AGI in 1996 and has been its CEO since 2010. AGI describes Anderson as a driving force behind its strategic direction, the acquisition and integration of 15 business units, the development of AGI's people, and its ongoing operational improvement.

Close joined AGI in 2012 as Vice President of Strategic Development. He was promoted to President in March and has been integral to key strategic initiatives such as the company's entry into Brazil and the acquisition of Westeel.

Prior to joining AGI, Tim was a Senior Vice President for nine years at Macquarie Capital, a global investment bank.
