ASABE Works on Seed Cotton Module Standard

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers has initiated a standards project to develop an identification system for seed cotton modules.

Seed cotton modules often have been identified using custom systems developed by individual gins for their customers, or by a third party supplying tags.

The new document will standardize ID numbering of seed cotton modules and provide associated technology to facilitate automatic tracking from the field through the module feeder at the gin. S
