Spring Conference: Celebrating Success, Preparing for More

As we move inside the three-week line on the countdown to Clearwater, we are celebrating.

There is work still to do, of course, but because of you, we face these remaining tasks fueled by success.

We are hovering on a new record attendance for the number of executives registered for Spring Conference, and we have shattered a previous record for exhibitors in the Supplier Product Showcase.

“Members tell us that among the greatest benefits of membership is the opportunity to talk with industry colleagues,” said Executive Vice President Vernon Schmidt. “That seems to play out in these numbers. As more shortline executives participate in the conferences, they drive up the value for all members, and the numbers build.”

Of course, the roster of speakers is a fantastic draw, too. This year’s line-up features experts focused on strategies to prepare manufacturers for the inevitable uptick in the equipment market.

Among the 132 companies registered for the conference, many are bringing several executives, which led to an early sell-out of rooms at the hotel.

With the hotel booked and overflow rooms in short supply, the Association may not be as nimble in responding if a member encounters a glitch when they arrive.
