Tarter Agrees to Buy Applegates Livestock Business
Applegate Livestock Equipment Inc. has announced an agreement to sell its livestock business to Tarter Farm & Ranch Equipment. Tarter is a member company and a fourth generation family-owned business based in Dunnville, Ken.
“Tarter Farm & Ranch Equipment is a company known for its hard work and devotion in developing strong products that improve day-to-day farm operations,” said Brad Miller, general manager of Applegate, “and we are excited to support them in their continued success.”
Applegate, a subsidiary of Ag Growth International, continues to manufacture and distribute their products throughout the Midwest; Applegate’s management team remains in place.
“We have had a long history and relationship with Applegate and the Applegate family,” said Josh Tarter. “Their diverse product offerings and high quality are an excellent fit in the market, and we are glad to soon have them as part of our business.”
Applegate will continue normal business operations subsequent to the proposed acquisition.
