Agile Partners with CLAAS on Tractor Prep
CLAAS of America has entered into an agreement with Agile Manufacturing to provide tractor preparation services for North America. Agile will manufacture local content and prepare machines for shipment at its new facility in Worthing, S.D.
Much of CLAAS’s manufacturing is based in France and Germany. A recently introduced tractor is designed for large-scale production typical in the North American market.
“North American farmers have unique demands requiring specialized tractor components. Our new relationship with Agile Manufacturing allows that important prep work to be done locally,” explained Drew Fletcher, CLAAS of America’s Product Manager for Tractors. “Agile’s strong reputation and extensive manufacturing experience aligned well with our exacting requirements.”
Michael Feilmeier, president of Agile Manufacturing, said his company is “honored and excited” about this development.
“Over the last several years we have made substantial investments in our capability, quality and personnel,” Feilmeier said. “Being able to earn the business of a global industry leader like CLAAS is a testament to our employees and the work they are doing.”
