AGI Reports Strong Quarter
Ag Growth International (AGI) recently announced its financial results for the first three months of 2017. Trade sales are reportedly up by 36 percent over 2016 trade sales for the same quarter. Adjusted profit is about 25 percent higher this year than last.
The report said trade sales “significantly exceeded record 2016 results due to robust demand in Canada, higher international sales and the impact of acquisitions.”
AGI reported farm sales in the U.S. were 18 percent higher in the first quarter of 2017 compared to the same three months in 2016.
The first quarter of 2017 included completion of the acquisition of Global Industries. It is the most recent in a series of acquisitions that included NuVision, Mitchell, and Yargus.
In its outlook for 2017, Ag Growth anticipates “continued strength” in the Canadian farm market and a “modest recovery” in the U.S.
