Linamar-MacDon Deal is Done

Linamar Corporation has completed the previously announced $1.2 billion acquisition of the outstanding equity interests of MacDon Industries Ltd. and its group of companies.

MacDon, which is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, will be combined with Linamar’s existing agriculture harvesting business in Hungary to position both businesses for growth.

Linda Hasenfratz, CEO of Linamar, characterized the acquisition as an “important strategic step that expands Linamar’s capabilities and further diversifies our end markets.”

Linamar is based in Guelph, Ontario.
