Find Out How You Measure Up:
Take the Business Profile Survey

Manufacturing members will receive an email invitation March 1 to participate in a survey that will yield data on the efficiency of their operations and their financial performance compared to industry standards.

The Association has again retained Industry Insights, Inc., to conduct this confidential Business Profile & Financial Performance survey. The email will come from an Industry Insights address.

The survey, which is a benefit of membership and provided at no cost, focuses on financial operating metrics, human resources, type of customers, and best practices. It gives respondents information to help them monitor and manage expenses, measure and improve productivity, protect the bottom line, and evaluate employee effectiveness.

The information you provide will be treated confidentially. This firm processes more than 100,000 surveys a year and has measures in place to assure privacy.

If you choose to submit a balance sheet and income statement rather than complete the financial portion of the survey, a certified public accountant will convert the information to the survey then destroy your documents.

Only companies that complete the survey will receive an industry-wide report and customized company report.

The industry-wide report includes comparative financial ratios and operating statistics of industry members based on key data segments, such as the most profitable companies, net sales, number of full-time employees, and sales category. The report offers tips on the best way to use the results, an executive summary, and detailed tables of data aggregations.

The company performance report is a confidential assessment of a manufacturer’s own financial ratios, operating statistics, and profile characteristics shown alongside the appropriate industry comparatives in the key data segments mentioned above.
