Association Joins Coalition Urging Resolution to USMCA

The Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association is among more than 200 organizations from U.S. manufacturing, farming and other industries calling on Congress to ratify the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement.

The USMCA Coalition will work to educate the American public about the benefits of the new deal and pressure lawmakers to support speedy passage.

Among other coalition members are the American Farm Bureau Federation, American Soybean Association, National Corn Growers Association, National Pork Producers Council, U.S. Dairy Export Council, Association of Equipment Manufacturers, National Association of Manufacturers, National Small Business Association, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

“While USMCA is not perfect, and some would argue it’s not significantly different from NAFTA, I believe it is the best option available, and this Association should be part of this group of influential stakeholders,” said Vernon Schmidt, the Association’s executive vice president.
