Titan Posts Sales Gain in 2018

Off-road tire and wheel maker Titan International posted a gain in net sales in 2018.

Net sales for the full year were $1.6 billion, representing an increase of 9.1 percent compared to 2017. Net income for the full year was $3.9 million, compared to a loss of $66.4 million for 2017. Sales of ag tires and other ag-related products were up less than 1 percent for the full year.

Net sales for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31 decreased by 3.4 percent compared to the same quarter in 2017. Driving the decline was a decrease in net sales in the agricultural (9.7 percent) and consumer segments, offset by increases in the earthmoving/construction segment.
