Ag Component Manufacturer Seeks Production Manager

Join a proven team as Production Manager for an ag component manufacturer. Manage all stages of steel component production, including planning, scheduling and staffing to meet production schedules and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include implementing and leading 5S/Lean/Process Improvement for the organization and responsibility for overall quality of all completed materials. Also play an active role in new product and process development and use product specs and release dates to determine product costs and resource needs. Manage the shop floor through three direct reports.

The company prefers a candidate with a B.S. degree in a technical field such as Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and seven years of progressive manufacturing experience, including three years in supervision. APICS certification and 5S/Lean/Process Improvement experience strongly are preferred. The candidate must have technical and analytical experience in production planning, and strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Knowledge of metallurgy and heat treating will be beneficial.

The company’s facility in South Central Kansas is a drug- and smoke-free workplace.
