Not just a farm equipment show — Ag Connect Expo will provide industry professionals with insights into U.S. and international ag policies as well as management best practices that producers are using around the world. According to Charlie O’Brien, Vice President of Agricultural Services for the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), “Research reveals that producers and other industry professionals really want more substantive discussions with industry leaders and to learn more about how agriculture around the world will affect their businesses.”
Education will be a key focus of the show. In addition to showcasing a wide variety of new equipment, technology and services, Ag Connect Expo will offer information on some of agriculture’s most important business management issues. Internationally recognized speakers will address topics such as high-tech farming, safe equipment operation, alternative fuels, alternative energy sources, general management issues for efficiency and issues pertinent to family-run businesses.
For manufacturers, special emphasis will be placed, not only on education, but on networking, global issues and workforce development needs.
Not only will Ag Connect Expo feature equipment companies from around the world, crop protection, seed, fertilizer and allied industry firms will also be part of the mix.
Initially, the show will be held in 2010, followed by another in 2011. After 2011, the show will be held on an every-other-year basis. Initial estimates are that more than 700 exhibitors will be at the first Ag Connect Expo in 2010, using more than 250,000 net square feet. It’s forecast that some 20,000 industry professionals will attend the first Expo.

FEMA is proud to join with AEM in promoting and managing this first-ever Ag Connect Expo.
AEM has a long history in trade show management, including the Conexpo-Con/Agg in Las Vegas, one of the world’s largest expositions for the construction industry. (And if you’ve ever attended Conexpo-Con/Agg, you know what the possibilities for Ag Connect Expo are!)
Some may ask, “Why another farm show?” Ag Connect Expo is not just another farm show. It is created by, and will be run by, people who are in the industry and whose livelihood depends on agriculture. It will be presented on a national and international level and in the world class venue of Orlando. It is this international reach that sets Ag Connect Expo apart from other regional shows and you won’t want to miss it.
All attendees will be registered in advance and “buying” will be encouraged.
If you’ve ever wondered, “Why can’t the United States have a truly international ag show similar to those in Europe?,” your answer will arrive in January of 2010. Make your plans now.
Ag Connect Expo — a gathering place for the industry created by the industry to the benefit of the industry.
