Art’s Way Q1 Shows Improvement
Art’s Way Manufacturing Co., Inc. recently released its financial results for the quarter ending February 28.
Consolidated corporate sales for continuing operations increased by 21.4 percent during the quarter. The increase is primarily due to greater demand for agricultural products and increased revenues in the modular buildings segment.
Quarterly revenue increased by 16.7 percent for the agricultural products segment, 4.8 percent for the tools segment, and by 90.5 percent for the modular buildings segment.
“As reported a quarter ago, we are starting to see improved positioning of our company coupled with modest improvement in market conditions, as demonstrated by the significant increase in revenue for the first quarter,” said Marc H. McConnell, chairman of Art’s Way board of directors. “Orders and backlog are strong throughout the company, and we feel that momentum is building for each of our entities, largely as a result of new products, an improved sales network, and creative methods of going to market, such as leases.”
