Buhler Reports Year-End Results

Weak commodity prices contributed to reduced revenue for Buhler Industries’ fiscal year, which concluded Sept. 30.

Revenue was down by 7.5 percent from 2017 to 2018. A statement from the company said that sales were down in Canada and the U.S. Sales were flat in other regions such as Eastern Europe.

Buhler expects sales to be flat in 2019 compared to 2018. The company also expects to significantly reduce its losses in 2019 as it focuses on margin improvements and reduction of costs.

After making significant investments in product development over the last few years, it will begin shipping a new tractor platform this year. It began shipping two new augers in late 2018.
