Construction Begins for Kubota
Kubota Tractor Corp. has begun construction on a $16 million, 618,000-square-foot expansion of its National Distribution Center in Jefferson, Ga.
The project, set for completion in July 2017, is next to the Kubota Industrial Equipment facility near Atlanta. It will triple the existing space to 956,161 square feet. The expansion is part of a plan by Kubota to increase production.
The facility will store and distribute, backhoes, loaders, tires, weights, along with hay tools, utility vehicles, and turf equipment.
The work began at about the same time that Kubota revised its forecasts for revenues for this year. The company lowered its forecast by ¥1,600 billion (just over $14 billion) for the year, a decrease of ¥60 billion ($526 million) from the forecast announced August 3.
