The Coleman Tractor Company in Paris, Tenn., bought the Cirrus Outdoor Power Equipment Store in White House, Tenn., as well as the Kubota franchise. The Coleman Tractor Company is a full line Kubota dealer. It now has locations in White House, Paris, Nashville and Clarksville, Tenn., where it is the largest Kubota dealer.

Four-store Case IH dealer Beard Implement has added two new principals. Nate McGraw and Suzanne Hobrock will join Gerry Beard and Kyle Schumacher to comprise the group ownership, which has stores in Hannibal, Mo., and Ashland, Pittsfield, and Arenzville, Ill.

Net sales increased 27.2 percent in Tractor Supply’s fiscal year 2020 compared to 2019. Gross profit for the year increased 31 percent. Net sales for the fourth quarter increased by 31.3 percent. The gains represent record sales and earnings.

Small ag equipment dealers who participated in a survey reported 5.1 percent sales growth in the fourth quarter, compared to 6.5 percent sales growth from large ag equipment dealers.

One small dealer described 2020 as “an amazing year.” Another said this: “New inventory of under 100 horsepower tractors is very limited and hard to get. We could sell more if we could get more.”

Small ag dealers expect 4 percent sales growth over the next year vs. 6.7 percent forecast by large ag dealers.
