Dealer News: RDO Expands to Sub-Sahara Africa

 RDO Equipment Co. recently announced a partnership with entrepreneur Andrew Mower in Africa.

RDO Equipment Africa will have a store in Kabwe, which is the capital of the Zambian Central Province. The store will sell pre-owned Deere equipment as well as products from Crary, Equalizer, Wilrich, and Wishek.

 Zambia is regarded as “farming paradise” because of its rich soil and ideal climate. That, paired with the nation’s food shortage and abundant land, is encouraging more people to farm. Most growers don’t have access to affordable, pre-owned machines and after-sales support, making it a challenge to operate efficiently and cost-effectively. RDO Equipment Africa seeks to fill this need.

Sub-Sahara Africa represents one of the fastest growing agricultural markets in the world, according to RDO Vice President Mark Kreps, and access to equipment is vital.
