Dealers to Talk Consolidation, Distribution

The Association has invited dealers to the 2018 Marketing & Distribution Convention to talk with shortline manufacturers about how best to compete for space on dealers’ lots in this climate of consolidation.

Among dealers scheduled to speak at a panel Thursday are Scott Beach, Grinnell Implement Store, Jim Wood, Rocky Mountain Equipment, and Jay Funke, Del-Clay Farm Equipment.

Grinnell Implement is a family-owned Case IH dealership in Grinnell, Iowa, and Beach is its store manager.

Rocky Mountain Equipment operates 37 dealerships in Canada. It is the largest independent dealer of Case IH equipment in the country and the second largest in the world. Wood is chief sales and operations officer for the dealership and has more than three decades of experience in agriculture equipment.

Del-Clay is owned by the Funke family, and Jay Funke is its president. It carries New Holland and AGCO product lines as well as member company products.
