Demco Buys Maurer

Dethmers Manufacturing Company (Demco) has completed its acquisition of Maurer Manufacturing.

Demco, with investors, acquired Maurer Manufacturing in 2000. At that time, Lakes Enterprises was formed and operated under Maurer Manufacturing brand. Demco and Maurer operated as separate companies, maintaining their own management teams but sharing resources.

In 2015, Demco acquired the balance of the stock of Maurer from Lakes Enterprises, which completed the purchase.

Demco will continue to operate its manufacturing facility in Boyden, Iowa and the Maurer Manufacturing facility in Spencer, Iowa. The corporate identity of the company will be Demco, but Maurer products will continue to be marketed under the Maurer brand.
