Details Emerge on Titan’s Restructuring
Titan Machinery’s plan to restructure has been discussed in greater detail since the mid-February issue of Shortliner, which included a story about plans to close a dozen agriculture stores by July 31.
The farm machinery dealer group is also completely restructuring operations at its remaining locations. The new structure will reorganize dealership management so that area managers will focus on certain offerings, such as equipment sales, equipment rental, or product support. In the current model, store locations have a manager for the entire business.
Also new since the February story is a list of locations for store closings. They are:
- Iowa—Anthon and Cherokee
- Minnesota—Redwood Falls and Thief River Falls
- Nebraska—Broken Bow and Wahoo
- North Dakota—Arthur, Kintyre, Kulm and Mayville
-
South Dakota—Redfield and
Milbank
Titan also closed a construction equipment store in Williston, N.D., in December.
Before its announcement, Titan was operating 89 store locations in 11 states in the U.S.
