FAA Grants Drone Exemption to TopCon

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has granted Topcon Positioning Group a Section 333 exemption to operate its Falcon 8 rotary-wing unmanned aerial system (UAS) in the United States.

The Topcon Falcon 8—powered by Ascending Technologies—is designed to inspect and monitor. It also features survey and mapping applications.
