HCC Purchases Shaver
Ed Parsons, president of Shaver Manufacturing Co., Graettinger, IA, has announced the sale of the company to HCC, Inc., Mendota, IL. Founded in 1944, Shaver is a manufacturer of ag equipment and landscape products. The company designs and manufactures post drivers and trailer drivers, post hole diggers, stump grinders and log splitters for multiple industries.
“After many years of successful ownership of the business the sale to HCC will facilitate my retirement, but more importantly the customers, community and employees will continue to be well served by the new owner,” said Parsons.
HCC is an employee-owned company founded in 1883. “We are extremely pleased to have Shaver join the HCC family of companies. The Shaver products are an excellent addition to our growing base of innovative products and markets that we serve. They are also a great complement to the ownership culture we have here at HCC,” said Carl McNair, chairman of HCC.
Shaver production facilities will remain in Graettinger, IA. HCC recently expanded its ag product line and entered into the vertical tillage market. HCC is a supplier of reels, sieves, chaffers and other products for the combine industry. ❖
