In Memoriam: Donald Fenton

Donald Fenton, a long-time friend to the industry and this Association, died August 5. He was 79.

Fenton was born in Massachusetts and raised in Maine. He served with the U.S. Army Intelligence in Korea and National Security Agency before beginning his career in equipment sales.

At 27, Fenton became sales manager for Baxley & Burton Equipment Company. He would later become president and CEO of the Taylor and Pittsburgh farm equipment divisions of the Ampco Pittsburgh Corporation. He would go on to work as corporate VP of sales for DMI, Inc.

Fenton was active in the Association in the 1980s and 1990s and served on the Board of Directors.
