Kubota to Build Plants in U.S.

Kubota Corp. plans to spend about $187 million to build three new plants in the United States.

The new plants will manufacture multipurpose four-wheel vehicles for agriculture and leisure, compact machinery for housing construction, and engines for construction machinery. Kubota aims to bring the plants online by 2022.

The plants that will manufacture the four-wheel vehicles and construction machinery engines will be built in Georgia. The plant for compact construction machinery will be in the Midwest.

This will mark the start of engine production for Kubota in the United States.
