Malinowski Elected As The Association’s First Canadian President
During the 60th Annual Fall Convention, November 3-6, 2010, in Dallas, Texas the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association elected John Malinowski, of Leon’s Mfg. Company Inc., as President of the Association. In the history of the Association, he is the first elected Canadian to hold the position as President. Malinowski has served on the Association’s Board since 2001, fulfilling a variety of duties including Chairman of the International Relations Committee and Convention Committee. He also serves on the Association’s Investment Committee.
Malinowski is the President and part owner of Leon’s Mfg. Company Inc., a manufacturing business founded by Leon Malinowski in 1952. Located in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, Canada, the company has a rich and diverse history manufacturing and distributing agriculture and industrial material handling equipment worldwide under the LEON and RAMROD trademark names.
Along with his commitments to the Farm Equipment Manufacturers Association, Malinowski is an active member and past President of the Rotary Club of Yorkton and past board member of the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Malinowski is a seven-time marathon runner and active promoter of healthy living. He resides in Yorkton with his wife Susan of nine years and their three children Grace, Jack and Hannah.
The Malinowski’s will host the Association’s upcoming Spring Management Clinic in Tampa Bay, Florida, March 31 to April 2, 2011 and the Fall Convention in St. Louis, Missouri, October 25-29, 2011, where his term as President will conclude.
