Muir Among First to Achieve New Certification
Muir Omni Graphics has achieved certification in the newest version of two international quality standards: ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
The standards are updated versions of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.
Companies certified under the former standard have until September 2018 to comply with the new. Fewer than 10 percent of companies have completed the transition. Muir’s leadership in earning the certification reflects its focus on excellence and the environment, an announcement from the company said.
ISO 9001:2015 is the world’s most widely applied international standard on quality management systems. The standard helps organizations demonstrate they offer products and services of consistently good quality. The standard also acts as a tool to make organizations more efficient.
The new version of ISO 14001:2015 extends globally recognized requirements for environmental management and recognizes companies that have adopted environmentally responsible practices.
