Omaha Spring Clinic A Success
For those of you who attended this month’s Omaha Spring Clinic at the Hilton Omaha, we thank you for your support of this annual meeting. From our excellent speaker line-up, to our plant tours, we offered all those in attendance a unique opportunity not only to network with their fellow industry men and women, but the time to find new customers through the Supplier Product Showcase and other events.
Despite the winter-like weather, the city helped us host a successful meeting, as we opened the Spring Clinic with our special guest speaker, Peter Ricketts. It was a pleasure to once again hear the simple, but ever so clear message of why freedom and capitalism work, while communism and fascism do not.

Speaker Michael Rosenbaum, also offered a unique perspective on ways to Sharpen Your Competitive Edge, while speaker Myron Stine informed the Tillage Product Council members about Understanding the Relationships Among Crop Genetics, Nuclear Energy and Farm Equipment.
Mike Devereux, educated the group on Research & Experimentation Tax Credits. Those who attended his session received an in-depth explanation of the changes to the 2013 tax law. A webinar will also be scheduled for early June.
In addition to our General Session speakers, we had several special interest sessions, which brought pertinent subjects to the forefront of the Spring Clinic. We would like to thank Don Landoll, Landoll Corporation, for helping us bring in Motoman, who spoke on Advances in Robotics, BLM Group, who spoke to the group about the Advances in Tube Laser Technology, and Bystronic, who spoke on Automating the File to Park Process. We also heard from Mazak Optronics, on the 3D Tube Processing Lasers & Done in One Parts. These detailed and informative sessions, brought greater value to Spring Clinic attendees.
Paid attendees of the Spring Clinic were recently e-mailed a short evaluation form. Information collected from this form will be used by the Association’s leadership and the Convention Committee to plan future events. Once you complete the evaluation form, you will then be directed to a link giving you access to the available speaker’s presentations from the meeting. We look forward to hearing your opinion about the Omaha Spring Management Clinic, in addition to any suggestions you have on how we can improve future meetings. Both the Spring Management Clinic and the Fall Convention are created specifically for you, our members; your feedback is very important us. Please take just a few moments to complete the online evaluation form.
If you have any issues or questions about the evaluation form for the Omaha Spring Clinic, please contact Vernon at 314.878.2304 or by email at Vernon@FarmEquip.org.
Lastly, thank you to this year’s Association President, Andrew Cummings, of T. G. Schmeiser, Inc. From early planning, to his many speaking obligations, to his facilitation of the Association’s Board meeting, we thank Andrew for playing an instrumental role in this year’s successful Omaha Sprig Clinic.
